Commercial Finishes

In a commercial setting it is imperative that the coating have both mechanical and chemical resistance. Depending on your business you may also have further regulations such as slip resistance to adhere to. Learn more as to which system suits your business.

Epoxy Coating

Epoxy coatings are by far the most common in commercial applications. With excellent mechanical and chemical resistance it is an excellent choice in mechanical workshops, food processing plants, manufacturing plants, commercial kitchens and storage sheds. These types of floors make cleaning the area extremely easy as it prevents most liquids and chemicals from staining the floor. Epoxy coatings are best suited to internal areas only. When exposed to direct sunlight the coating will discolor and chalk. In some applications (industrial sheds and workshops where the aesthetics of the coating do not matter) this epoxy system is still suitable.

Epoxy & Urethane Coating

An epoxy & urethane system utilizes the superior adhesion properties of epoxy and combines them with the increased flexibility and UV stability of polyurethane. This type of system extends the lifespan of the floors functionality as well as its aesthetics due to the UV stability of polyurethane. These types of floors make cleaning the area extremely easy as it prevents most liquids and chemicals from staining the floor. This type of system is commonly used in retail showrooms & shops, manufacturing plants as well as air craft hangers/showrooms.

Non Slip Epoxy Flooring

Dependent upon the type of work that will be undertaken in your business, you may need to achieve a certain non slip finish. In essence anything involving food products or water will require some type of non slip. Epoxy non slip flooring allows you to achieve a tough, durable finish with a variable non slip finish to suit your specific needs. Speak to your certifier or local council to make sure you comply with these regulations. Due to the textured nature of this coating, it can make mopping the floor extremely difficult/borderline impossible. To ensure that the are remains clean and hygienic the water must be able to fall to waste, this may mean you will need to create these falls to waste. Commercial kitchens, food processing plants, butcher shops and car was bays are common types of businesses that install this type of coating.
